Thanks to many generous donations to CAMP, we were able to provide boxes of food, toys, warm coats and even some Christmas decorations to 86 local families.
None of this would be possible without a dedicated group of volunteers from local churches and community groups who come together to organize all the donations each year.
This year CAMP enjoyed a special boost in donations from staff at Valley View Middle School who rented out the By-Jo theater in Germantown and offered admission for a three-can donation.
As we start 2011, remember that hunger is a year-round problem in our community. Continue to think of CAMP when you are shopping and bring non-perishable food items and paper goods to the boxes located at local churches.
